EAT + DRINK SLC

Happy 2024 folks! I recently followed through on a project idea I've been sitting on for almost a year now.

EAT + DRINK SLC is a concept inspired by interactions with bar customers asking about the best restaurants in the city. Due to being busy or having fish covered hands I'm rarely able to articulate or jot down my favorite eats or drinking spots. After brainstorming with a coworker we came up with the idea of a pocket sized card we could pass to customers printed with a curated list.

Our parameters for choosing places are:

1) Appeals to "new-to-towners" first and long time locals second

2) Diverse choices

3) Is a location either we or another industry friends have actually been to so we can honestly recommend them

A last minute addition was a QR code on the card that will eventually lead to a more detailed list of restaurants and bars via my website for those who want more information. The online list will be a work in progress and probably a "live" one as restaurants come and go. Current images are mockups, and lists might change before printing. This may stay a project I keep within my own restaurant, or I might distribute the cards to other interested bartenders and servers around town.
